Rose (Katie Morgan), preparing coffee for her husband Drew (Calvin Hardy), is contemplating disclosing her planned fertility appointment. With their stepson Eddie (Codey Steele) away, she hopes to discuss her desire for a child with him. Drew had a vasectomy, and Rose initially promised never to want a child of her own. However, time has changed her mind, and the thought of Eddie growing up makes her realize her wish.

Eddie returns, noticing Rose’s unease and inquiries about her well-being. She lies, stating she has a headache, and retired to her room. Searching for information on IVF, Rose feels distant from her husband, whom she wishes to conceive a child with.

Eddie brings her a rose-lavender tea, and Rose appreciates his thoughtfulness. Eddie senses her distress and urges her to share her concerns. Aware of their arguments, he reassures her of his love for Drew, but expresses his desire to see a sibling for him. He proposes a bizarre solution – using his sperm for insemination.

Rose scoffs at the idea, citing technicalities and expense. Eddie suggests a ruse – convincing Drew it’s his child, claiming no one would know the difference due to resemblance. Rose, taken aback, ponders the idea. Could it work? Would they get away with such a plan?
